Symbol of the essential and dignified karst architectural style, the Gradina Visitor Center towers in a panoramic position of absolute dominion over the Lake of Doberdò and the town that shares the lake’s name. The building, built among the ashes of a former disused quarry, has found splendor again thanks to the European Financial Program Finanziamento Europeo per lo Sviluppo Regionale - Obiettivo 2 - Documento unico di programmazione – CCI 2000IT162DO013.

The Italian-Slovenian karst culture finds historical - naturalistic memory in the large and modern museum, culinary expression in the gourmet restaurant, print on tradition in the Karst Hall and warm hospitality in the guesthouse.

The Gradina Visitor Center is now managed by the Pavees Cooperative Society.

The Gradina Visitor Center is temporarily closed.
